INTERREG IIIC West Lead Partner Seminar

The INTERREG IIIC West Lead Partner Seminar took place in Lille, France on the 11th & 12th of June 2007. The first day was dedicated to a Communication Training Seminar to encourage and assist the active dissemination and clear communication on the project’s achievements. The training was provided by an international training company, Pinnacle, specialising in PR and Communication.
The second day covered multiple topics including financial and project management, advice on closing projects, analysis of INTERREG IIIC WEST operations, achievements for 2006, a brief presentation on the submitted operational programme for INTERREG IVC (it is currently being examined by the EU Commission) and the launch of a study to identify the potential for West operations to apply under INTERREG IVC.
Facts and figures on INTERREG IIIC:
264 operations with 2634 partners from all EU -25 Member states covering 191 regions (all but 5 of all EU regions).
For INTERREG WEST: 930 partners are involved in West operations of which 63 % are public authorities. An average of 24 interregional events organised per operation to exchange and disseminate experiences. 7292 staff members with increased “capacity” and 692 new projects/initiatives/approaches have resulted fro this exchange of experience (an average of 10 per operation).
